All of our meals come in fully compostable trays, made from durable, plant-based materials. These aren’t just better for the environment—they’re safe, practical, and reliable for keeping food fresh and nutritious throughout the school day.

Compared to traditional plastic containers, our compostable packaging offers a significant reduction in landfill waste. Plastics can take hundreds of years to break down, often leaching harmful chemicals into the environment. In contrast, our trays naturally decompose in the right composting conditions, leaving behind no toxins and no trace.


By making the switch to compostable materials, we’re helping reduce carbon emissions, limit landfill usage, and teach the next generation that caring for the planet can start at lunchtime.

But we don’t stop at compostable packaging—we go a step further with our daily tray collection system. Each school day, our team visits partner schools to collect the used food trays, ensuring that waste is handled responsibly. This system keeps school environments clean, clutter-free, and hygienic. It also allows us to maintain full control over the waste journey, ensuring that trays are composted correctly.


This closed-loop system is what sets Nourish and Green apart. It means that every tray we deliver has a clear, sustainable end-of-life plan—no guessing, no bins overflowing, and no harm to the environment.
